Corn Dogs
Fun finger food for everyone.
Ingredients
- 1 package GF Hot Dogs
Batter
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup GF cornmeal
- 3/4 cup rice milk
- 1/3 cup rice flour
- 1/3 cup potato starch
- 1/3 cup tapioca flour
- 2 Tbsp butter or margarine melted
- 1 Tbsp cider vinegar
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp xanthan gum
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 4 cups cooking oil for deep frying
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients except the hot dogs in a food processor.
- Mix until it's smooth. Place a popsicle stick through each hot dog.
- Holding onto stick, dip all sides of hotdog into the batter. Deep fry until golden brown in color.
Notes
Only cook three corn dogs at a time, because you want to keep the oil temperature quite hot.
