Pecan Rice Pilaf
Pilaf is a rice dish that has been cooked in a seasoned broth. A variety of veggies and spices can be added to change the flavors to best accompany your main dish. In this one, pecans, cloves and nutmeg provide the flavor and fragrance.

Pecan Rice Pilaf
Ingredients
- 2 cups rice
- 2 tsp thyme
- 1 Tbsp GF vegetable bouillon
- 1 tsp sage
- 1 cup margarine or butter
- 1 cup onion chopped
- 1 cup celery chopped
- 1 cup fresh parsley minced
- 1 tsp celery seeds
- 1/2 tsp cloves ground
- 1 /2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 2 cups pecans chopped
Instructions
- Cook rice according to directions, adding the thyme and bouillon to the water.
- Melt butter in a pan and sauté the parsley, onion and celery until soft.
- Mix in the rice, and the remaining seasonings and pecans. Stir until heated throughout.
