Lemon Caper Coleslaw
By just changing a few ingredients to plain coleslaw, you turn it into a whole new dish with delicious and unexpected flavors.
Whisk together all dressing ingredients, then toss with a premixed coleslaw mixture. Allow flavors to blend for about 20 minutes before serving.
Lemon Caper Coleslaw
Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh broccoli-slaw mix or coleslaw mix
- ¼ cup fresh Italian parsley chopped
- 1 Tbsp lemon zest
- 2 Tbsp capers drained
Dressing
- 1/3 cup buttermilk or alternative*
- 1/3 cup GF mayonnaise
- 3 Tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Whisk together all dressing ingredients until smooth then toss with remaining salad ingredients.

Keto-Friendly Recipe
Where can I find a good tasting, gluten free mayo? The only mayos in my area are the usual regular and light. I tried a “gluten free” mayo when I was traveling, and it was AWFUL! I don’t remember what brand it was, but I wouldn’t buy it for myself.
This recipe is delicious! I used plain Greek yogurt in place of the mayo.
I think I will try this so easy
I use Hellmens (1/2 fat), or if I run out and in a pinch, it’s super easy to make your own: Homemade Mayonnaise
This looks great add Crab my type of salad.
