Coconut Macaroons
Get your kids involved with this easy recipe.
Ingredients
- 14 oz flaked coconut
- 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp almond extract optional
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- In large mixing bowl, combine coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and extracts.
- In another bowl beat the eggs whites and salt until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into the coconut mixture.
- Use a small cookie scoop or drop by tablespoonful's onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet, and bake at 325°F for about 20 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges.
