Notes
Cocoa powder? Which brand is gluten free?
I love the recipes and really appreciate them.
I there any way I could find out the nutritional information for the recipes – like carbohydrates, calories, etc?
Thanks again !

Thanks, so glad you like them! The nutritional info is shown on the right side of the page, next to the recipe box (unfortunately we can’t get it to print out with the recipe).
Cocoa powder is naturally gluten free. Cocoa powder (found in the baking section) is essentially the ground version of the cocoa bean. If you look at a container of cocoas ingredient list it should state only cocoa if it has been naturally processed. Or if has been ‘Dutch’ processed (to neutralize its natural acidity, bringing it to a pH of 7), potassium carbonate or sodium carbonate will also be listed in the ingredient list. Dutch processed cocoa is noticeably darker in color, and is the best choice for baking due to its balanced acidity. It’s the malted powders or cocoa/chocolate drink mix powders that can contain gluten.
Chocolate-Avocado Smoothie ? I dislike Avocado’s any substitute’s?
Bryan
The avocado adds a lot of volume and texture (thickness/creaminess) to the shake. The perfect substitute would be banana, but if you don’t like that add some frozen berries.
