Chipotle-Java Marinated Steak
Coffee and spicy peppers pair together as a rub for this juicy steak, making this Chipotle-Java Marinated Steak a winning combination.
Use freshly ground coffee, or the type you would use in a regular coffee maker (not espresso). Whisk together all marinade ingredients and place in a shallow dish (or ziploc bag). Add steaks and allow to marinate for 2 – 24 hours.
Grill steaks until desired doneness.

Aside from using coffee grounds as marinade I read different opinions about coffee …. Yes on a gluten free diet I can drink coffee and then no coffee is not an option. Ok I give. Which one is it? Since i have recently started the gluten free protocol I have not had a cup of coffee in days.
Do you mean used grounds or ground coffee?
Sorry! You’re right that is confusing! Dry ground coffee is what you use. Then same grind that is used for regular coffee machines (not espresso).
Plain coffee is gluten free, it’s what you add to it (like flavorings/syrups/etc) that can contain gluten. Here is a bit more info on it in this article: Coffee & Tea: Are They Safe?. As far as dieting, here I what I found on medical site regarding if coffee is good or not: “Caffeine has been considered a diuretic by experts and consumers for years. Some people believe that drinking caffeinated beverages will cause them to lose fluids so they can’t be counted as part of their daily intake. Others say that caffeinated beverages do not increase fluid losses.”
I will try it sound petty good!!!!!.
Is this at last an answer re: what to do with those K-cups? Seems such a waste to send them to the landfill sites.
