Take advantage of the BBQ season, and throw some corn cobs on the grill next time you’re grilling your steaks or chicken.

If you’ve never tried grilling them in their own husks, then you are in for a treat. The husks keep just enough moisture locked inside to cook the corn, yet it allows a nice light char on the kernels near the end of cooking. And when topped with butter and salt….heaven!

Better yet, I’ve included some recipes for a fresh Herb Butter, a spicy Chili Butter and a flavorful Seasoned Butter for you to try.

Instructions

  • Gently pull back the husks, and remove all the silk. Replace the husks back around the cob, then soak the entire cobs in cold water for 10 minutes.
  • Drain, pat dry, then place over a medium grill for about 10 minutes, or until tender.
  • If desired, for the last few minutes of grilling, pull back the husks to expose the cob, and get a little char on the kernels.
  • Serve with flavored butters.
