Frozen Pomegranate Margarita

With pomegranate season in full swing from September to about January (in the Southern Hemisphere it’s from March to May), our Frozen Pomegranate Margarita is the perfect cocktail to highlight this incredible fruit. Traditional Margarita flavors of lime and tequila are blended with frozen pomegranate juice to create this delicious slushy drink.

Pour juice into ice cube trays or another mold. Each drink takes 3/4 cup juice, so make note of how many of your ice cubes make up that amount. The small silicon mini bundt pan molds below hold 1/4 cup each of juice, so I know to use 3 of them for every drink. Freeze until firm, about 3 hours. PomegranateMargarita2

Place your frozen juice portions and remaining ingredients into blender. Process until smooth and pour into glass. PomegranateMargarita3

    1. Thanks! IT sounds delicious and looks gorgeous!

What is the best way to make this Margarita without alcohol?

    2. I would use tonic water or club soda – that would cut down on the sweetness of the juice and give it a bit of a ‘bite’ without the booze!
