Ingredients

buttermilk or alternative
1/3
cup
GF
mayonnaise
or
vegan mayonnaise

Tbsp
lemon juice
2
Tbsp
basil pesto
1
tsp
butter or margarine
1
tsp
cornstarch + 1 tsp water
mix together in small dish
Instructions
Combine first four ingredients together in a small saucepan, whisking well. Over medium heat, warm mixture than add butter.
Bring to a light simmer, stirring often, and then slowly pour in cornstarch mixture. Stir until thickened.
Notes
To Make Buttermilk: put 1/4 tsp vinegar into measuring cup and add whole milk (or milk alternative) to bring to 1/3 cup - let stand 5 minutes.
