Pesto Hollandaise
Traditional hollandaise sauce can have up to a whole cup of butter in it. Tastes incredible I know, but after eating it I feel I have to work out twice as hard just to justify having that second helping.
But in under 5 minutes, this low calorie sauce can be whipped up, and won’t make you feel as guilty when you ask for seconds!

Pesto Hollandaise
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup buttermilk or alternative
- 1/3 cup GF mayonnaise or vegan mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp basil pesto
- 1 tsp butter or margarine
- 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tsp water mix together in small dish
Instructions
- Combine first four ingredients together in a small saucepan, whisking well. Over medium heat, warm mixture than add butter.
- Bring to a light simmer, stirring often, and then slowly pour in cornstarch mixture. Stir until thickened.
