Ingredients

Tea

  • 4 tea bags Black Tea, Orange Pekoe, or Green Tea
  • 6 cups water

Lemonade

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup lemon juice

Instructions

  • Bring water to a boil in a kettle or saucepan. Once it reaches the boil, remove from heat, add the tea bags, cover and let steep for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags, pour into a pitch and allow to cool completely.
  • To create the simple syrup for the lemonade, bring the water to a boil and add sugar. Simmer until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside to cool completely. Pour in the lemon juice and stir.
  • You can keep the tea and lemonade separate, or pour them together into a pitcher. Start with 1/2 tea and 1/2 lemonade, then add more tea if its too sweet.
  • Serve over ice.

Notes

Or you can make a Low-Calorie Lemonade using apple juice
