Tea
- 4 tea bags Black Tea, Orange Pekoe, or Green Tea
- 6 cups water
Lemonade
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup lemon juice
Bring water to a boil in a kettle or saucepan. Once it reaches the boil, remove from heat, add the tea bags, cover and let steep for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags, pour into a pitch and allow to cool completely.
To create the simple syrup for the lemonade, bring the water to a boil and add sugar. Simmer until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside to cool completely. Pour in the lemon juice and stir.
You can keep the tea and lemonade separate, or pour them together into a pitcher. Start with 1/2 tea and 1/2 lemonade, then add more tea if its too sweet.
Serve over ice.
