The sugar caramelizes over the bacon creating a crunchy glazed coating alongside the smokiness of the bacon, making it a great appy or as a side for breakfast.
In a bowl mix together the bacon and syrup and half of the brown sugar, tossing to coat. Place bacon slices on a parchment lined baking sheet, then sprinkle the tops with the remaining brown sugar.
Bake at 425°F for 20 minutes, or until crisp. Watch it during the last 8 minutes, since the sugar will cause the bacon to burn faster.
