Parmesan Cheese Substitute

Use this substitute in places where you would sprinkle Parmesan on top of foods.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 cup cashews
  • 1 cup pecans
  • ½ cup nutritional yeast
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in pan over medium heat then add nuts. Stir pan often until nuts are fragrant and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Pour into bowl of food processor and allow to cool completely.
  • Once cool, add nutritional yeast and salt, pulse until fine crumbs form.
  • Store in fridge for 2-3 weeks.
