Rissoles

Traditionally Rissoles are small fried croquettes filled with meat and have a pastry crust.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups mashed potato
  • 1/2 cup ground beef
  • 1/2 onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup pea flour or gram flour
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil

Instructions
 

  • Fry the beef and onion with some oil until cooked. Set aside.
  • Beat the egg, flour, and mashed potato together until well mixed. Then stir in the beef mixture.
  • In a greased skillet, drop by spoonfuls (flatten tops), and fry until golden brown on each side.

Notes

Variations: Use sorghum flour in place of pea flour.
