Traditionally Rissoles are small fried croquettes filled with meat and have a pastry crust.
Ingredients
  • 2 cups mashed potato
  • ½ cup ground beef
  • ½ onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup pea flour or gram flour
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil
Instructions
  1. Fry the beef and onion with some oil until cooked. Set aside.
  2. Beat the egg, flour, and mashed potato together until well mixed. Then stir in the beef mixture.
  3. In a greased skillet, drop by spoonfuls (flatten tops), and fry until golden brown on each side.
Notes
Variations: Use sorghum flour in place of pea flour.
