Traditionally Rissoles are small fried croquettes filled with meat and have a pastry crust.
- 2 cups mashed potato
- ½ cup ground beef
- ½ onion, finely chopped
- ¼ cup pea flour or gram flour
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fry the beef and onion with some oil until cooked. Set aside.
- Beat the egg, flour, and mashed potato together until well mixed. Then stir in the beef mixture.
- In a greased skillet, drop by spoonfuls (flatten tops), and fry until golden brown on each side.
