Mulled Wine (Warm Spiced Red Wine)

In Germany its glühwein, in Nordic countries its glögg or gløgg, in France its vin chaud, and in North America it can be called any of those as well as mulled wine. It may have many names but they all mean the same thing – a warmed glass of spiced red wine, enjoyed during the cold winter months.

You don’t need to buy any fancy spice bags to hold everything in. Just cut a small square from some cheesecloth, fill, then tie the opposite corners together to seal the bag closed. You can find the cheesecloth in any large grocery store. MulledWine2

Dump everything into a pot and then simmer, simmer, simmer! MulledWine3
