How To Segment Citrus (Supremes)
Adding orange or grapefruit segments is a great way to add more flavour to your salad.
- Oranges
- Grapefruit
Step by Step Instructions
Cut the top and bottom off, so the flesh is exposed.
With the fruit standing up on one flat side, take your knife and run it along the curve of the fruit, removing the peel and all of the white pith.
Next, hold the fruit in your hand and make a cut along one side of the segments membrane. Then cut along the inner edge of the other side of the membrane, so the segment is removed (and no membrane is attached to the segment).
Continue around the fruit until all segments are removed.
