Flourless Chocolate Hazelnut Cake

  • 8 oz dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup strong fresh coffee
  • 4 eggs separated
  • 1/2 cup hazelnuts ground


  • Combine chocolate, butter, sugar and coffee in saucepan and stir over low heat until dissolved.
  • Remove from heat and whisk in egg yolks and nuts.
  • Beat egg whites until firm and fold gently into chocolate mixture, then pour batter into a greased 8x8 baking ban and bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
