  • If you're going to make a single tree, use only one batch of cookie dough. Although if you want to make tree that looks 'fuller', double your cookie recipe and cut out the dough with each cookie cutter twice.
  • Using graduated star cookie cutters (I found mine through the Avon catalog - available only during the Christmas season), cut the dough out and place on a parchment lined baking tray. Bake according to directions. Let cool completely.
  • Make a thin (pourable) icing, and thinly spread over each cookie. Immediately sprinkle with green sprinkles, then chill until set.
  • To assemble, stack cookie sizes from largest to smallest (put a bit of icing between each cookie to make it more stable). Then decorate with any gluten-free decorations you like.
