Chocolate Covered Coconut Bon Bons
Such a simple yet classy treat your guests will have a hard time believing you made them.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1 lb icing sugar
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups flaked coconut
Glaze:
- 9 oz GF semi-sweet chocolate
- 2 Tbsp shortening
Instructions
- Mix together butter, icing sugar, and sweetened condensed milk until smooth, then stir in the coconut.
- Roll dough into 1 inch balls, and refrigerate until set, about 1 hour.
- Melt chocolate and shortening over a double boiler, stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove from heat when melted and stir to make sure the shortening is fully incorporated.
- Use toothpicks to hold the balls while dipping in the chocolate, then place on parchment paper to set.
