Ground and slivered almonds make a crunchy topping, atop crusty buttered baguette slices. Perfect for a late day brunch.

Can I substitute almond flour for the ground almonds?
For me, I really like a bit of the texture from the almonds in this recipe, so I wouldn’t substitute them with the almond flour. But then again, it’s all what you like! If you do, I would use a bit less – add enough until the consistency is like a thick spread. Please let me know how it turns out if you try 🙂
